Marie Elizabeth Peardon (nee Roe) of Wasaga Beach and formerly of Georgetown passed away peacefully at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital on Thursday April 11, 2024 at the age of 92.
Devoted Wife of over 50 years to the late James Peardon. Loving Mother of James Peardon and Carol Peardon. Treasured Grandmother of Meaghan and Zoe Peardon. Marie will be missed by her Sister Marge Bingham (Bill), numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents James & Margery (nee Thorton) Roe. Marie was born at home in Glen Williams, on the outskirts of Georgetown. She was faithful in helping others and gave 136 pints of blood through the Canadian Blood Services and received two pints back following an accident a couple of years ago.
Marie loved sending Friends and Family cards just to let them know she cared. When Marie moved to Wasaga Beach she became involved in the community joining the Probus Club and loved playing Bid Euchre many times a week at the Prime-Time Club at the Wasaga Beach Rec Plex.
A private family gathering was held at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach. Interment to take place at a later date at the Greenwood Cemetery in Georgetown. If desired, donations in memory of Marie may be made to a charity of choice.
