The weekend is off to a busy start for Halton Hills firefighters, who battled a truck fire on the highway south of Acton tonight (Sept. 13).
The local department responded to the call on Regional Road 25, south of 15 Sideroad shortly before 10 p.m.
Initial reports from the scene indicate a tractor trailer cab (with no trailer) was on fire, and the driver made it out safely.
Traffic was diverted down local sideroads as firefighters extinguished the blaze.
