Laurence “grandmaman” Baldoni (nee Petit) passed away on Sunday April 21, 2024, at the age of 101. She will be deeply missed by her children Linda and Normand, their spouses, Bruce and Pamela, her grandchildren Mark, Stephanie (Doug), and William, as well as her six great grandchildren Carly, McKenna, Karissa, Grace, Wyatt, and Ava. Laurence was preceded in death by her husband Silvio who passed away in 1973.
Laurence was born in Verdun, Quebec, the fifth of eight children all of whom preceded her in death. She was the last of her clan. She moved from Quebec to the GTA area in 2007, to be close to her children and extended family. Since 2017, she was a resident at Extendicare Halton Hills where she made many friends with the staff and other residents. Laurence had an easy smile, loved her family, enjoyed parties, and great food.
Her family will be holding a Celebration of Life on May 5th from 2-4 p.m. in the Trafalgar Room at Jones Funeral Home 11582 Trafalgar Rd, Georgetown, Ontario
In lieu of flowers, Laurence’s family is requesting that donations be made to the Hospice Georgian Triangle or Georgetown Hospital Foundation.
