To address traffic demands and support the growth of the community of Georgetown, Halton Region is making improvements to Trafalgar Road (Reg. Rd. 3), Ward 2 in the Town of Halton Hills.
Further to our Notice of Construction dated July 26, 2021, we would like to inform you that starting on October 7, 2024, at 7:00 am, access to and from Hornby Road will be closed at the intersection of Hornby Road and Trafalgar Road. This closure is needed to facilitate the construction of a stormwater management pond and associated culverts in the area. Access is expected to be reinstated on November 2, 2024.
Access to and from Hornby Road will be via Steeles Avenue throughout this time. Please see the attached detour map. Motorists should expect delays when traveling through the area.
Emergency vehicles, business and local access will be maintained along Hornby Road via the posted detours. We do not anticipate any disruption to waste collection, snow removal or mail delivery and will make every effort to complete the construction work as quickly as possible to minimize the impact of the access restriction.
