HaltonHillsToday, in partnership with the Upper Credit Humane Society (UCHS), highlights a special pet in need of adoption every week.

Blue is a very dapper five-year-old Doberman with a beautiful personality who is eager to shine.

Prior to his arrival at the shelter, he led a fairly isolated existence with few new experiences, so he'll need a minute to get to know you. Once he's comfortable, Blue becomes the playful dog he was always meant to be!

He's a comical boy who loves to show off his toy, play hard to get, and ultimately invite you to clown around with him. Blue can be very affectionate, and when he looks up at you with his cheerful grin and wiggle-bum, you can't help but feel joyful.

A few more details about Blue:

  • Other pets? No thank you.
  • Young children? Sorry, I'm still working on my manners.
  • Men? I am more comfortable around women, some men scare me but if they go slow we can be friends!

Blue was confused when he arrived at the shelter, but he's smart - Doberman smart - and it didn't take long for him to learn the new routine and that he could trust us.

He's a wonderful companion, and we ask that his new family be willing to continue to work on his confidence through play, reward-based training, and consistent enforcement of rules. Blue deserves a home that can provide him with structure and security.
