A playground replacement project at a Georgetown park is near completion.

The Town says construction of the new playground in Cedarvale Park will be done Saturday (Nov. 30).

It includes a variety of features such as a jungle net rope climber, rope basket saucer swing, double spring rider, supernova spinner, bee spring toy, leaf climber, sand and water area and a sensory tunnel with musical and tactile components.

The playground's unique equipment is designed to be enjoyed by users of all ages and abilities.

Community input played a crucial role in shaping the design of the playground, with many residents contributing their ideas and feedback.

“This playground will be a magnet for our kids,” said Mayor Ann Lawlor. “Climbing, stretching, exploring and having fun with their friends is all possible with this amazing equipment. I wish I was brave enough to try out the jungle net myself.”
