The Georgetown Rib and Beer Festival runs Friday to Sunday at Trafalgar Sports Park.

If your backyard grill just hasn’t been cutting it, come try some of the province’s best barbecue as the Georgetown Rib and Beer Festival hits town this weekend.

For the second year in a row, the event will be held at Trafalgar Sports Park, running from Friday to Sunday (July 5 to 7). Ribs aren’t all you’ll find as vendors will also have brisket, pulled pork, chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob and blooming onions.

The festival runs from 4 to 11 p.m. on Friday, noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $2 and free for kids under 5.

The Georgetown event is part of the Northern Heat Rib Series, which includes 15 ribfests across Ontario.

There is a full schedule of live music over the weekend. On Friday, it’s C.J. Cooper, The Darren Hancock Band and Lakeside Groove. Saturday’s lineup includes Southpawz, Brewed Attitude, The AC/DC Show Canada and Wicked Truth while Sunday features Big Dan and the Topside Band, The Trip: Tribute to the Tragically Hip and Otis Wonder and the Hustle.

There's also fun for the whole family in the Kids' Zone.
