Cash stolen after Georgetown cannabis, vape stores have front doors smashed

Police believe same suspect responsible for Guelph Street break-ins

Halton Regional Police are investigating after the front doors of two Georgetown businesses were smashed early Saturday morning.

Police say around 1:45 a.m. Sept. 21, a suspect used a wrench to break the glass front door of a cannabis shop on Guelph Street, triggering an alarm. The suspect fled without entering the building. 

He is described as a white male with a medium build wearing a hooded sweatshirt. 

Shortly after, around 2:30 a.m., a suspect broke the glass door of a Guelph Street vape store and entered. Police say he stole cash from the register and fled. The male suspect was wearing a hooded sweatshirt. 

Halton Police believe the incidents are connected. 

No arrests have been made yet and the investigation is ongoing.
