Early-morning complaint leads to impaired charge in Georgetown

A citizen-initiated complaint led to impaired charges in Georgetown this week.

Around 3:35 a.m. Wednesday, Halton Police responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver. Police located and stopped the vehicle in the area of River Drive and Mountainview Road North in Georgetown.

As the result of its investigation, police charged a 37-year-old from Brampton with blood alcohol concentration 80 mg or more, within two hours.

Halton Regional Police no longer name individuals facing impaired charges.
