Today, Premier Doug Ford issued the following statement to mark Christmas Day:
“Today, Christians in Ontario and around the world pause to celebrate the birth of Jesus and reflect on the season’s message of peace, love and joy.
This is also a time for everyone in Ontario to reflect on the past year, appreciate the blessings in our lives and cherish the people who make them so special. As you spend time with loved ones this holiday season, it’s an opportunity to embrace the spirit of kindness and care, especially for those in need.
I would also like to thank all those who are working today to ensure the health, safety and comfort of their fellow Ontarians, including our first responders who go above and beyond to protect and serve our communities. We are grateful for your commitment and sacrifice, today and every day.
