Anyone who's been around the dock at Acton's Fairy Lake has likely caught a glimpse of Groot, a 60-year-old snapping turtle who had quite the adventure this past summer.
The large legend in a half shell was inadvertently hooked by a fisherman and spent 10 days recovering at the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre, thanks to the quick actions of the Halton Hills Turtle Guardians.
