Cool sounds, hot arts and crafts, and family activities were front and centre at the Halton Freedom Celebration Festival at Burlington's Spencer Smith Park Saturday (Aug. 5).
Organized by the Halton Black History Awareness Society, the event ran through the afternoon and evening, marking the 189th anniversary of Emancipation.
