Georgetown, Glen Williams brave the rain for Remembrance Day services

Parades and ceremonies carried on despite today's wet weather

The rain did not weary them, nor the chill of the damp.

Sunday's ( Nov. 10) downpour only hardened their resolve to give dignity to the fallen.

Glen Williams and Georgetown gathered at their respective cenotaphs today for Remembrance Day parades and services. Members of the army, cadets - air and land - police, firefighters, paramedics, the Royal Canadian Legion, local elected representatives and various organizations from Halton Hills laid wreaths in the town's vigil for the war dead.

Reverend Steve Boose of Knox Presbyterian Church thanked all who bore the weather to attend Remembrance 2024.
