While most business owners are content once they secure their brick-and-mortar, local entrepreneur Jignesh Oza wanted more.

Tucked away next to Oza’s Hasty Market at Delrex Boulevard and Guelph Street is his latest venture, the Delrex Vape Store.

“The industry is booming. A lot of people are switching from cigarettes to vaping,” Oza said when asked why he picked a vape shop to expand his business assets.

Oza believes that vapes are less harmful than cigarettes. His new shop carries a variety of options for those who want to wean themselves off of tobacco. Disposable vapes, e-liquids, vape pens and pods make up the list of available products.

This small shop - roughly the size of a storage room at 80 square feet - looks like it's part of the Hasty Market, but Oza said it and the vape shop are “two businesses in the same premises" - part of a larger strategy to integrate customer demands under one roof. Oza's convenience store also houses a bubble tea bar called Fruitea Bubble Tea.

"We want to make this store a one-stop shop," Oza said.

Those who stop by the Delrex Vape Store will have to ring a doorbell to enter as the shop is kept locked. The law requires customers to be 19 or older to buy vape products, and Oza said he and his staff will be strict with checking identification.
