Georgetown house fire quickly brought under control

No injuries reported, fire damage limited to attic of Miller Drive home

A Georgetown South home has sustained fire damage following a blaze in the attic.

The Halton Hills Fire Department responded to  the call on Miller Drive in Georgetown Thursday afternoon. 

The local department reports that flames were visible through the roof of the house when they arrived at the home just off Argyll Road.

Firefighters battled the blaze from the interior of the house, and also used the aerial truck. Fire damage was contained to the attic.

The homeowners were not home at the time of the fire, but there were workers at the property. No injuries were reported.

A potential cause and damage estimate weren't currently available.
