Georgetown's Entwistle signs with Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers

Georgetown’s Mackenzie Entwistle has signed a one-year contract with the Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers. 

The 24-year-old had five goals and 11 points in 67 games with the Chicago Blackhawks last season.

Entwistle was drafted in the third round of the 2017 NHL draft by the Arizona Coyotes and was traded to Chicago the following summer. He made his NHL debut on Mar. 23, 2021 against Florida. He went on to play 193 games over four seasons with the Blackhawks, scoring 15 goals and adding 20 assists. 

Prior to the NHL, Entwistle won Ontario Hockey League championships with Hamilton (2018) and Guelph (2019) and represented Canada at the 2019 World Junior Hockey Championships.
