The paper copy of Halton Region’s waste collection calendar will not be available next year.
Halton Region has indicated its 2024 waste collection calendar is online only.
The municipality says it has eliminated the calendar to reduce Halton’s carbon footprint and paper use.
The decision eliminates the printing of 180,000 calendars, offsetting more than 14 tonnes of paper, according to Halton Region.
The Region is asking residents to stay informed online. There are no changes to curbside pick-up days in 2024.
