Members of the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce voted in the new 2022-23 board of directors at its recent annual general meeting.
For the 2022-2023 term, the executive committee appointed by the board includes:
- Chair Stephen Stoute, Stoneridge Insurance
- Chair-elect Sean Ashbee, Grant Thornton LLP
- Vice chair Tim O’Connor, Onatamy Foods Limited - McDonald's, Georgetown and Acton
- Treasurer Melissa Therrien, Therrien Accounting
Returning to the chamber board of directors are:
- Lesley Bell, Lesley Bell Consulting
- Chris Cambouris, Titan Tek Biz
- Ray Chesher, Your Home Today Realty Inc.
- Jamie Draves, Quinta Quinoa
- Jasmine Gaudet, Young’s Pharmacy & Homecare
Joining the board this year are:
- Rob Juns, CARSTAR MGM & LC Auto Groups
- Karen McBride, BKM Virtual Support Services Inc.
- Peter Sproule, Momentum Financial Services Inc.
“Our two key messages as we introduce this new board to our members are ensuring stability and capacity for the chamber as we move deeper into the recovery from the pandemic,” said Stoute.
"We are strengthened by our new directors and will safeguard all that we have accomplished over the past two years as we begin to move forward with many renewed initiatives. My thanks go out to the continuing board members who have served the community well, and to the new recruits, in advance, for their dedication."
During the meeting, Stoute highlighted some of the progress the Chamber has made over the past year, including hosting three in-person signature events and delivering over 48,000 free COVID-19 rapid test kits to local businesses.
Going forward, the board of directors will focus on developing a three-year strategic plan aimed to match the needs of post-pandemic businesses.
