Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce unveils new board of directors

There's a mix of new and familiar faces around the table of the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce's board of directors.

Delegates voted in the new 2023-2024 board at the Chamber's recent annual general meeting. 

The executive committee appointed by the board include Chair Sean Ashbee (Grant Thornton LLP), Treasurer Peter Sproule (Momentum Financial Services Inc.), and Past-Chair Stephen Stoute (Stoneridge Insurance Georgetown). 

Directors returning include Chris Cambouris (Titan Tek Biz), Ray Chesher (Your Home Today Realty Inc.), Jamie Draves (Quinta Quinoa), Rob Juns (Carstar Georgetown Service Centre), and Karen McBride (BKM Virtual Support Services Inc.). 

Joining the board this year are Allan Ehrlick (Halton Region Federation of Agriculture), Prince John (Business Development Bank of Canada), and Sam Karunanithi (Lawrie Insurance Group). 

“We are delighted to announce the valuable addition of a wealth of talent, experience, and expertise to our board this year," said outgoing board chair Stoute. "Ensuring that our board is a true reflection of the diverse industries within our community is a top priority, and we remain committed to strengthening our board through strategic recruitment efforts."

In his remarks during the meeting, Stoute unveiled the Chamber's new 2023-2026 strategic plan and expressed gratitude for the member and stakeholder support. 

The plan focuses on four key pillars: revenue growth, expanded marketing reach, strengthened partnerships, and operational excellence.
