Youth Movie Night

Dec. 13 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown branch: Enjoy a free screening of Nightmare Before Christmas on Friday the 13th. No registration required.

SATURDAY

Breakfast With Santa

Dec. 14 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Royal Canadian Legion, Acton branch: Enjoy breakfast, balloon animals, fun and games and a visit with the big guy himself. Tickets can be purchased at the door - $5 for children eight years old and under, $10 for everyone else.

Learn, Play, Grow

Dec. 14 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown and Acton branches:  Drop in at your nearest library branch for engaging, interactive activities that children up to age five and their families can enjoy at their own pace. These sessions explore various themes designed to foster positive child development.

Fossil Rockers Christmas Variety Benefit Concert

Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at The Sanctuary Concert Hall, 11 Guelph St., Georgetown: The Fossil Rockers are coming to town in aid of the Townsend Smith Foundation and Cancer Assistance Halton Hills.

The show will feature a variety of new and old holiday songs performed by the group and a number of special guests. Beer, wine and light snacks available for purchase.

SUNDAY

Campbellville Santa Claus Parade

Dec. 15 starting at 1:30 p.m. in Campbellville: The 50th anniversary of the Campbellville Santa Claus Parade is set for this Sunday, marking the last local parade of the season. The floats will travel east on Twiss Road, south on Crawford Crescent onto Guelph Line/Main Street and finish on Campbell Avenue. Leading the parade will be honourary village mayors Liz and Peter Lambrick.

ALL WEEKEND

Christmas on the Rails

Dec. 14 and 15 at the Halton County Radial Railway Museum, 13629 Guelph Line: Local residents are invited to ride the rails one last time before the museum’s winter hiatus. Ride vintage streetcars from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday through the snowy woods. Visit hcry.org/events/ for more information.
