Local residents can get up close and personal with Santa at Journey to Enchantment, running now at Cody's Cows in Acton.

THURSDAY

Winter Solstice Renewal Circle

Dec. 21 at 5:45 p.m. at Willow Park Ecology Centre, Norval: Participants can enjoy a guided meditation and reflection around a fire. Those interested in attending are asked to register here.

Meet under the big black willow tree near the Butterfly Garden. Parking is available on Mary Street.

FRIDAY

Bethlehem at Bethel

Dec. 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Acton: Visit the Bethel stable with live animals, make some wooden cookie ornaments over an open fire, have some kettle-popped popcorn, along with hot chocolate and cookies from the Coffee Trailer.

SATURDAY

Learn, Play and Grow

Dec. 23 at 10 a.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown and Acton branches: Explore a new theme each week at this drop-in program with activities that promote positive child development. For children up to age five and their caregivers.

A Magical Christmas Concert

Dec. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at The Sanctuary Concert Hall in St. John’s United Church, Georgetown: A Magical Christmas is coming to The Sanctuary Concert Hall, featuring the Mike Pelletier Trio, Alexandra Lennox, Juliette Jones and Derrick Paul Miller.

The event is described as “a festive evening of live jazz and beautiful singing featuring a Charlie Brown Christmas and your favourite holiday music.”

Tickets are available here. Proceeds will be shared with St. John's and the Townsend Smith Foundation.

Journey Into Enchantment

Various times all weekend at Cody’s Cows, 13959 Third Line, Acton: Enjoy a drive-through Christmas experience on the farm while sipping hot chocolate and munching on cookies from Mrs. Claus’ kitchen, then Visit Santa and his sleigh.
