SATURDAY

Family Storytime

Jan. 11 at 10 a.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown and Acton branches: Explore new themes each week through stories, rhymes, and songs. This drop-in program is designed for children up to age six and their caregivers.

Book Buzz

Jan. 11 from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at the Georgetown branch of the Halton Hills Public Library: Calling all avid readers in grades 5 to 7. Meet at the Georgetown branch once a month to discuss some fantastic books and do fun activities. In January and February, the group will be reading pre-assigned books. Register here.

Ignite the Night

Jan. 11 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Terra Cotta Conservation Area: Experience the beauty of the forest after dark along a two-kilometre illuminated trail. Ski, snowshoe and kicksled rentals are available on site, as conditions permit, along with ice skating opportunities. Visitors are also welcome to bring their own equipment. Valentine’s for Vets

Jan. 12 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown and Acton branches: Share messages of love and gratitude for Canadian veterans by making a special card and putting it in the library’s Valentine’s for Vets mailbox.

Fire Pit Pop-up

Jan. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Henry Thomas Shepherd MBE Park, Georgetown: Join the Town's Hey Neighbour team for a hot chocolate treat then sit back and enjoy the warmth of a fireside seat in the park, located at 45 Dayfoot Drive, Georgetown.

Light up the Hills

Nightly at Dominion Gardens Park, Georgetown: It’s the final weekend to enjoy the lights displays in Dominion Gardens Park. The lights will shine from 5 to 11 p.m. each night, with Sunday being the the last day. For further details, visit lightupthehills.com.
