THURSDAY

Open Mic Night/Jam Session

July 25 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Acton branch: Everyone is welcome to come out and jam or simply listen and enjoy. No fees or membership required.

FRIDAY

Toddler Story Time

July 26 at 10 a.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Acton branch: Enjoy fun stories, action songs, rhymes and more with your toddler. This program is for children aged 12 to 30 months, accompanied by a caregiver. No registration is required.

Georgetown Cruise Night

July 26 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Mold-Masters SportsPlex, Georgetown: Enjoy perusing dozens of classic and special interest cars every Friday night. Those looking to display their car can simply show up. A 50/50 draw will be held every week to support the Halton Hills Optimist Club.

Movie Night

July 26 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Gellert Community Centre baseball diamond, Georgetown: Heritage Orthodontics is hosting a patient appreciation movie night, and everyone is welcome. There will be free drinks and popcorn, and an inflatable screen outdoors where local residents can watch Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. There will also be a magician, mentalist and hypnotist, Mike Believe.

SATURDAY

Acton Trunk Sale

July 27 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Acton GO station parking lot: The Rotary Club of Acton’s popular trunk sale is on every Saturday. Shop for a variety of products or become a vendor for $20 cash - no reservations required. Simply show up anytime after 7 a.m.

Georgetown Farmers’ Market

July 27 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in downtown Georgetown: Shop every Saturday morning from a mix of vendors that offer farm produce, culturally diverse food and products, hand-crafted jewelry, soaps, candles and more.

Storytime in the Plaza

July 27 at 10 a.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown branch: Explore new themes each week through stories, rhymes and songs in the plaza at the Georgetown branch. This drop-in program is designed for children aged 0 to 6 and their caregivers. No registration is required. Don't forget your hat and sunscreen.

Storytime with S’mores and a Firetruck

July 27 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Acton branch: Enjoy a special Summer Family Storytime with stories and s'mores. There will even be a special guest, a fire truck and firefighters!

This drop-in program is designed for children aged 0 to 12 and their caregivers. No registration is required. Don't forget your hat and sunscreen.

Moccasin Identifier Program

July 20 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown branch: This Indigenous-led initiative is dedicated to weaving a deeper understanding of Canada’s Treaty history into the fabric of our nation. Through the symbol of Indigenous moccasins, it aims to connect all Canadians to the land beneath our feet.

ALL WEEKEND

Milton Rib and Beer Fest

July 26 to 28 at Milton Community Sports Park, 805 Santa Maria Blvd., Milton: Northern Heat Rib Series welcomes some of North America’s best ribbers from 4 to 11 p.m. Friday, noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday. Food vendors from different cultures will also be on hand. The event features live music and vendors. Admission is $2, and free for children under five.
