THURSDAY

Open Mic Night/Jam Session

June 27 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Acton branch: Everyone is welcome to come out and jam or simply listen and enjoy. No fees or membership required.

FRIDAY

Georgetown Cruise Night

June 28 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Mold-Masters SportsPlex, Georgetown: Enjoy perusing dozens of classic and special interest cars every Friday night. Those looking to display their car can simply show up. A 50/50 draw will be held every week to support the Halton Hills Optimist Club.

Line Dancing

June 28 starting at 7 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Acton branch: Learn how to line dance with the Urban Cowboy at the local Legion from 7 to 9 p.m., followed by open line dancing from 9 p.m. to midnight. Tickets cost $15 and are available at the door.

SATURDAY

Acton Trunk Sale

June 29 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Acton GO station parking lot: The Rotary Club of Acton’s popular trunk sale is back for the season. Shop for a variety of products or become a vendor for $20 cash - no reservations required. Simply show up anytime after 7 a.m.

Georgetown Farmers’ Market

June 29 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in downtown Georgetown: Shop every Saturday morning from a mix of vendors that offer farm produce, culturally diverse food and products, hand-crafted jewelry, soaps, candles and more.

Rainbow Story Time

June 29 at 10 a.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown and Acton branches: Celebrate Pride Month with the library at Rainbow Storytime. Enjoy stories about inclusivity while exploring new themes each week with rhymes and songs. No registration is required.

Cars and Coffee Fundraiser

June 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at R Auto Detail, 55 Sinclair Ave., Georgetown: R Auto Detail is hosting a fundraiser in support of the Georgetown Bread Basket.

There will be food, drinks, raffle prizes, a 50/50 draw, local business showcase booths and more. Come check out real race cars and custom built low-riders. All cars, trucks and bikes welcome (space permitting).

SUNDAY

Sketch Comedy and Improv Show

June 30 at 2 p.m. at the John Elliott Theatre, Georgetown: Join Ha Ha Halton for their sketch comedy and improv act, True North Strong And Hee Hee.

Anyone looking for a hearty laugh can purchase tickets to the show at the JET in person or online.

MONDAY

Canada Day in the Glen

July 1 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Glen Williams: The annual tradition kicks off with breakfast in the park at 8 a.m., followed by a day full of family-friendly activities. The popular parade will take place at noon, and the duck races are set for 3 p.m. 

A shuttle bus will take residents from the Superstore parking lot down to the Glen from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Canada Day at the Legion

July 1 from 4 p.m. to dusk at the Royal Canadian Legion, Acton branch: Celebrate Canada’s birthday with free hot dogs for children 12 and under (while supplies last) and a barbecue for adults. The Acton Citizens Band will entertain everyone from 7:30 to 9 p.m., and guests are invited to stay and watch the fireworks.

Canada Day in Prospect Park

July 1 from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at Prospect Park, Acton: The Acton Firefighters' Association’s popular fireworks display will kick off at dusk. On-site vendors will include Ice Cream 4 U, Gord’s Hot Dogs, Bethel’s Coffee Trailer and 70 Below Treats.

This year parking at Prospect Park will be $20 per vehicle (cash only), with all funds collected going toward show expenses.
