FRIDAY

Chili Supper

Nov. 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church, Acton: Enjoy a hearty meal that includes chili, garlic bread, Caesar salad, pie, and more. Dine-in or take out, with vegetarian options available. Free delivery in town. Tickets cost $18 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under and are available by calling Bernice at 519-853-3818 or Pam at 519-853-3554.

Starfield and Brooke Nicholls Concert

Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Acton: Starfield – The “Church Songs” Tour featuring Brooke Nicholls is coming to Bethel - one of only three stops in Ontario for the Canadian worship band. Tickets are available here.

Line Dancing

Nov. 22 starting at 7 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Acton branch: Learn how to line dance with the Urban Cowboy at the local Legion from 7 to 9 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.), followed by open line dancing from 9 p.m. to midnight. Tickets cost $15 and are available at the door.
 

SATURDAY

Trinity United Church Christmas Bazaar

Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 70 Mill St. E., Acton: Shop for a variety of handmade crafts, jams, festive cookie trays and more. There will also be a silent auction.

Acton District School Holiday Craft Sale

Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 21 Cedar Rd., Acton: Check out dozens of vendors and booths from student organizations. The school library will be selling old books and the food classes will have potted herbs available to purchase. The photography club will be taking pictures with Santa from noon to 2 p.m.

Christmas Market

Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church, Acton: Shop for candles, hot chocolate bombs, hand-crafted items, jewelry, crochet items, Christmas decor and gifts.

Family Storytime

Nov. 23 at 10 a.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown and Acton branches: Explore new themes each week through stories, rhymes, and songs. This drop-in program is designed for children up to age six and their caregivers.

Virtual Cooking Class with Chef Shane

Nov. 23 at 5 p.m. online: The Halton Hills Public Library presents a virtual cooking class with Chef Shane Gannon. Kids and families are welcome to join for a fun Saturday night activity, or make it a date night at home and beat inflation!

Impact Zambia Dinner and Auction

Nov. 23 at 6 p.m.at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Acton: The night will include Southern African cuisine, storytelling and authentic African artifacts on auction.

Funds raised will support life-changing leadership and skills training in rural communities of Zambia, located in southern Africa. For further details or to purchase tickets for $30, click here. 

Live Music at Acton Town Hall Centre

Nov. 23 from 7 to 11 p.m. at 19 Willow St. N., Acton: Enjoy and evening of live entertainment by Absolutely Jack, Lift and Peter Yake and the Healthy Scratches. They’ll be performing rock, country, mellow, upbeat/dance, original and cover songs. Tickets are available here.

ALL WEEKEND

The Mystery of Edwin Drood

Nov. 22 to 24 at the John Elliott Theatre, Georgetown: Georgetown community theatre group Globe Productions is bringing the Charles Dickens work to life on the stage.

This whodunit musical comedy will debut Nov. 22 and 23 at 8 p.m., with a matinee set for Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available on the John Elliott Theatre’s website or in person at the Cultural Centre.

Credit Valley Artisans Christmas Sale

Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Nov. 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the cottage in Cedarvale Park, Georgetown: Explore a large selection of pottery, stained glass, weaving, and various paintings and drawings.
