There are some new faces at the helm of the Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) board of directors.
Brampton and Peel Regional Councillor Michael Palleschi was acclaimed as chair at the inaugural 2024 board meeting held Friday (Jan. 19), while Halton Hills Mayor Ann Lawlor secured the vice chair position.
Lawlor’s election marks her first year as vice chair and her sixth year of service on the board.
The CVC board consists of 12 municipal representatives from member municipalities within the Credit River Watershed.
“This year marks CVC’s 70th anniversary," said Palleschi. "We look forward to celebrating this milestone as we adapt to a changing climate and provide meaningful opportunities for residents to connect with nature in our communities.”
