There are some new faces overseeing the Halton District School Board's (HDSB) trustees.

During Wednesday night's meeting, trustees elected Amy Collard as chair and Joanna Oliver as vice-chair for 2023-2024.

This is an annual process, with the 11 HDSB trustees choosing from among their colleagues for these roles.

"I am humbled by the faith the board of trustees has in me, to guide them through the development of our new multi-year plan,” said Collard. “I am looking forward to working more closely with the senior administrative team and the board of trustees to provide opportunities for the excellence of the HDSB to shine."
