A Milton stretch of Hwy. 401’s east-bound HOV and left lane are closed following this morning’s (Wednesday) crash involving a sedan and transport truck carrying live chickens.
The collision happened shortly after 7 a.m. just west of James Snow Parkway, with the truck driver taken to hospital with minor injuries.
There are no reports of any other injuries and traffic is heavy in the area, with motorists advised to seek alternate routes this morning as the lanes are expected to be closed until at least noon.
The Ontario Ministry of Transportation and Animal welfare are on scene.
