Halton Hills has not forgotten those who gave the last great measure.
Locals and visitors gathered at the Glen Williams and Georgetown cenotaphs to begin marking Remembrance Day over the weekend.
The Glen Williams parade and ceremony occurred first on Sunday (Nov. 5), just before 11 a.m., with the Georgetown gathering following in the afternoon.
At times, the silent respect towards the commemoration meant that one could only hear birds and the wind.
Additional ceremonies will take place in Acton and Georgetown on Nov. 11 at 10:45 a.m. for those who missed out on Sunday.
