IN PHOTOS: It’s full steam ahead for historic Labour Day tradition

Offering an immersive look back at the area’s agricultural heritage, 62nd annual Steam Era continues until Monday

Thousands are making the trek to Hume Auction Farm (9313 Fourth Line) this weekend to take in the 62nd Steam Era put on by the Ontario Steam and Antique Preservers Association. 

The end-of-summer event, which continues until Monday afternoon, features privately-owned collections of beautifully restored operating antique equipment, including steam engines, antique tractors and cars.

Daily attractions include live demonstrations of antique sawmills, threshing machines, tractor pull competitions as well as daily equipment parades each afternoon and military re-enactments.
