***********************
Weather advisory issued for:
Halton Hills - Milton, Ont. (046630)
   Burlington - Oakville, Ont. (046640)
   City of Hamilton, Ont. (046100)

Current details:
Winter weather travel advisory in effect for tonight into Friday morning.

Hazards:
Locally heavy snowfall with accumulations of 5 to 10 cm.
Poor visibility at times in heavy snow.

Timing:
Overnight into Friday morning.

Discussion:
A band of lake effect snow off Lake Ontario will develop overnight. This band, combined with an incoming low pressure system, is expected to produce locally enhanced snowfall amounts. The Friday morning commute will be affected. Snow will taper to light flurries late Friday morning or early Friday afternoon as this band shifts to the south.

Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.

Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
