Late-night traffic stop in Georgetown leads to impaired charge

A 44-year-old man is facing an impaired driving charge following a late-night traffic stop in Georgetown over the weekend. 

At approximately 11:15 p.m. Sunday, Halton Police stopped a driver in the area of St. Michaels and Caroline streets. 

As a result of an investigation, police arrested a 44-year-old Brampton man and charged him with operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration.

Halton Regional Police no longer name individuals facing impaired charges.
