Area tractor enthusiasts will come together at Country Heritage Park in Milton on June 3 and 4 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the John Deere model “D” tractor.

The “D” in ’23 event is expected to draw tractor collectors from across the United States and Canada, and will include a variety of exhibits, demonstrations and information about the history of the model “D” tractor.

“On May 23, 1923 the very first John Deere model ‘D’ tractor rolled off the line and production continued for an astounding 30 years, the longest ever of any tractor model from any company,” says a news release issued by the organizing committee. “Approximately 160,000 model “D” tractors were built and sold to farmers all over the world.”
