Leathertown Lumber may have new owners, but they are carrying on a decades-old tradition.

“We had been customers for years,” said Boris Nincevic, who purchased the business in October 2023. “There was an employee here, David Lindsay, and the toy drive was very dear to him, and now it has become very dear to us as well.”

So for the 24th year, Leathertown Lumber is collecting toys that will be donated to the Acton branch of the Salvation Army.

“Even in good economic times there are people that are struggling,” said Nincevic. “We want to be part of something to help out, especially for the kids.”

Leathertown Lumber, at 264 Main St. N. in Acton, will be accepting donations of new toys until Friday, Dec. 13.
