The Province of Ontario has released the Sunshine List for 2022 and more Halton Hills staff members have been added to it.
The number of people employed by the Town of Halton Hills on the list now sits at 127, up from 107 in 2021 and 98 the year before.
Even though some employee earnings appear to have shrunk, their average salary for 2022 sat at $132,325, up 6.5 per cent from $123,229.
The municipality’s top bureaucrat, Chief Administrative Officer Chris Mills, leads the pack with the highest salary at $258,927.89. Three other staff members are tied for second place with $204,986.99. They are:
- Commissioner of Planning and Development John Linhardt

- Commissioner of Transportation and Public Works Bill Andrews.
Former mayor Rick Bonnette placed 32nd overall with a salary of $144,380, but took the top spot for benefits, claiming $9,763.
