HaltonHillsToday, in partnership with the Upper Credit Humane Society, highlights a special pet in need of adoption every week.
Iris came to the shelter from a mass removal of cats that were in an unhealthy environment on May 10.
She was pregnant and started having difficulties giving birth. She was taken in for an emergency C-section and had three kittens. Unfortunately the kittens did not survive, but Iris recovered perfectly from her surgery.
Iris is a sweet girl who enjoys head scratches and would love to be in a clean home where she will never have to worry about where her next meal will come from.
Iris is looking for a foster home at this time as she recently had a seizure that was very hard on her. She has started on medication and it’s working perfectly. She requires half a pill twice daily and takes her meds well.
Please consider giving Iris a chance and helping her through this manageable diagnosis.
Iris is FIV positive, which means she will need yearly vet visits and to be kept up-to-date on vaccines.
If you are interested in Iris, we would love to hear from you.
