Plenty of fun for kids in store during Snow Days at the Halton Hills Public Library

Everything from an electrifying light show to a stuffie sleepover planned for the coming days

Now that Christmas is over, local parents may be looking for ways to keep their children entertained for the rest of the holiday break.

With this in mind, the Halton Hills Public Library has planned a variety of fun activities.

Here’s what’s in store this weekend for Snow Days at the Library:

SATURDAY

Family Storytime

Dec. 28 at 10 a.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Acton branch: Explore new themes through stories, rhymes, and songs. This drop-in program is designed for children up to age six and their caregivers.

Electric Tesla Show

Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. at the John Elliott Theatre, Georgetown: Enjoy an electrifying performance from the Fantasy Bubble Show inspired by legendary scientist Nikola Tesla. The interactive presentation will feature demonstrations with small and large Tesla coils, a plasma ball and more. The show - recommended for ages 8 and up - is free, and no tickets are required.

SUNDAY

Board Game Drop-in

Dec. 29 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown and Acton branches: Join the library team every Sunday in December to play your favourite board game or learn a new one.
