Halton Region is planning some temporary road closures in Georgetown South for construction of local growth-related water and sewer systems.
A construction notice from the Region says starting next week, vehicle access will be restricted across the roundabout at 10 Sideroad and Tenth Line.
From March 13 to 20, access to Tenth Line south of the roundabout will be closed to traffic. Drivers will need to plan for detours using Ninth Line, Winston Churchill Boulevard and 5 Sideroad.
Then from March 21 to April 12, access to 10 Sideroad east of the same roundabout will be closed. The Region is offering Tenth Line, Winston Churchill Boulevard and 5 Sideroad as alternatives.
Access to the multi-use path along 10 Sideroad will be maintained.
The dates are subject to change due to weather-related delays.
The closures are meant to accommodate the installation of watermain infrastructure through the roundabout.
The Region is expanding the water and sewer systems on 10 Sideroad, Eighth Line and Mountainview Road to accommodate growth.
