Locals are donning their poppies as they get ready to remember those whose blood was shed for Canada.
Georgetown, Acton and Glen Williams are carrying on their traditions of marking Remembrance Day.
Several ceremonies and parades have been scheduled throughout the community.
Here's what's happening:
Glen Williams Remembrance Day Parade and Service
When: Sunday, Nov. 5 from 10:45 a.m. to noon
Where: Glen Williams Cenotaph (northeast corner of Main Street and Wildwood Road) and surrounding area
Georgetown Remembrance Day Parade and Service
When: Sunday, Nov. 5 from 1:45 to 3:15 p.m.
Where: Remembrance Park (James Street) and surrounding area
Acton Remembrance Day Parade and Service
When: Saturday, Nov. 11 from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m.
Where: Acton Cenotaph (Mill Street, downtown) and surrounding area
Georgetown Remembrance Day Ceremony
When: Saturday, Nov. 11 from 10:45 a.m. to noon
