Halton Hills now has seven outdoor skating rinks operating throughout the community.

The Town opened its first outdoor rink of the season in Prospect Park in Acton on Jan. 10. It has since added rinks at the Georgetown Fairgrounds and at 3 Musketears Park by the Acton Arena.

These rinks are lit each day from 5-11 p.m.

There are also four volunteer-maintained rinks operating. They are located at Joseph Gibbons Park, 77 Weber Drive, and Maple Creek Park, 14 Watson Road, in Georgetown, Bovis Park at 31 Wallace Street in Acton and on Diamond No. 1 in Glen Williams Park. These rinks are not lit.

The Town will assist anyone volunteering to maintain an outdoor rink on Town property. Interested individuals or groups should contact the Director of Parks and Open Space at 905-873-2601, ext. 2274 for further information.
