VIDEO: Christmas spirit shines at Georgetown Lions Santa Claus Parade

Saturday evening parade draws thousands along Guelph Street and in the downtown core

It's safe to say the holiday season is now in full swing in Halton Hills.

Local residents got into the Christmas spirit yesterday with two parades - the first in Acton on Saturday afternoon and then in Georgetown on Saturday evening.

The parade has been a regular Christmas event since 1932 and has been organized each year by Lions Club of Georgetown members, assisted by scores of community volunteers. The theme this year was “A Hometown Christmas.”
