Earlier this week, Georgetown's Christ the King varsity high school lacrosse team won silver at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) field lacrosse championship in Peterborough.

The second-place finish capped off a season that saw the team win the All-Catholic Lacrosse Championship and the annual CW Falcons High School Tournament.

The Jaguars went unbeaten in Halton Catholic Athletic Association (HCAA) play during the regular season and beat Holy Trinity in the HCAA final before capturing the Golden Horseshoe Athletic Conference title thanks to a win over Milton District.

After running a 14-0 record heading into OFSAA play, the Jaguars beat Huron Heights Secondary School by an 8-1 margin before beating Neil McNeil High School 13-3 in pool play at OFSAA to advance to the championship round.

In the semifinals, the Jaguars picked up a narrow 8-6 win over Brooklin High School before losing in the final to the defending-champions, Humberside Collegiate Institute, 8-3.
