Georgetown Raider goalie Christian Lynch held the league's highest scoring team in check for two periods but the Raiders couldn't generate any offence in a 6-0 loss to Trenton Friday.

It has been a rocky start to 2025 for the Georgetown Raiders.

After their first game of the new year was postponed, the Raiders were shut out by the Trenton Golden Hawks Friday.

It took just 30 seconds for the Golden Hawks to get on the board, but Christian Lynch made 15 saves in the period to keep it a 1-0 game.

The league’s highest scoring would not be denied though. Trenton scored five minutes into the second and added a late goal to increase its lead to 3-0. The Golden Hawks, who outshot the Raiders 48-24, added three more in the third.

The Raiders have two home games this week. They host the Milton Menace Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. and the Caledon Admirals Saturday at 5:30 p.m. before heading to Buffalo Sunday to play the Jr. Sabres at 7:15 p.m.
