The Georgetown Raiders slipped out of a playoff spot after dropping two games over the weekend.

The Raiders remain winless in 2025, falling to 0-5-1 in the new year following an 8-3 loss to Niagara Falls on Sunday and a 6-1 loss to Collingwood Saturday in weekend Ontario Junior Hockey League games.

Georgetown fell behind 4-0 in Niagara Falls before John Mitchell’s powerplay goal got the Raiders on the board. Adam Varga, his first since being acquired from Toronto earlier this month, and Ben Austin added goals in the third period. Aiden Lee assisted on both of those goals.

A couple of former Raiders played a key part in the Niagara Falls win, with Mikael Kingo making 35 saves while Braeden O’Keefe had four goals and an assist.

Brayden Hartlieb had Georgetown’s lone goal in Saturday’s loss to Collingwood.

Georgetown will look to get back on track with back-to-back games against teams below it in the standings. The Raiders host Mississauga Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Mold-Masters SportsPlex and play in Oakville Friday. Georgetown is back home to face Burlington Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Georgetown currently sits two points behind the King Rebellion for the final playoff spot in the West Conference, but does have four games in hand.
