The Georgetown Raiders built an early lead, but the Caledon Admirals rallied late and then won 4-3 in overtime.
Georgetown’s Braydon Hobson had the only goal of the opening period of Saturday’s Ontario Junior Hockey League game. Justin Huynh extended the lead to 2-0 in the opening minute of the second, but Caledon answered back quickly with a goal 13 seconds later. The Admirals tied the game before the end of the period.
Ben Austin’s third-period goal put the Raiders back in front, but Caledon would again tie the game with less than four minutes left in regulation.
Caledon then scored with 16 seconds remaining in the second overtime period to hand Georgetown its third straight loss.
Andrew Robinson had two assists for Georgetown and Noah Mavin made 30 saves in his first start for the Raiders.
Georgetown now sits in eighth place in the West Conference with a record of 17-15-6.
The Raiders will travel to Leamington Thursday and then host Collingwood Saturday at the Mold-Masters SportsPlex. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
