The Milton Menace broke a 2-2 with five minutes to play on their way to a 4-2 win over the Georgetown Raiders Wednesday night.
Aidan Lee’s second goal of the game early in the third period gave the Raiders a 2-1 lead but the Menace rallied with three unanswered goals to win the Ontario Junior Hockey League game.
Milton’s first three goals, including the winner, came on the powerplay.
Christian Lynch stopped 40 of 43 shots for the Raiders.
The Raiders made a number of moves prior to the Jan. 10 trade deadline, the biggest being trading goalie Michael Newlove to the Burlington Cougars for 18-year-old netminder Roman Batih. Batih had a 10-6-2 record with a 3.31 goals-against average and .913 save percentage in 21 games for the Cougars. The Raiders also dealt their leading scorer Jayden Levesque to the Wellington Dukes.
In the week leading up to the deadline, Georgetown sent defenceman Colin Maund to the Toronto Jr. Canadiens in exchange for defenceman Adam Varga. Varga, 18, had four assists in 32 games with the Canadiens.
Georgetown also traded Owen Bruining to the King Rebellion and defenceman Nicolas Townsend to the Niagara Falls Canucks.
