Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the Georgetown Hospital. Wayne, at the age of 61, was born in Oakville to John and the late Kathryn Best. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories.
Beloved husband of Cecilia, Wayne was a pillar of unwavering support and affection. He will be deeply missed by his adoring children, Andrew (Ellen), Laura and Andrea, and his grandchildren Carter, Everleigh, and Bronx, who were the light of his life.
Dear brother of Wendy and Mike (Heather). He was a brother-in-law to Patricia and Claudia (Christian). Wayne is preceded in death by his in-laws Alfonso and Laura, whose spirits he joins in eternal peace.
Wayne's warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, extending beyond his immediate circle to his colleagues and friends. He will be remembered fondly by his numerous co-workers, friends, and relatives.
Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. The family greatly appreciates flowers, or donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation as a tribute to Wayne. Cremation to follow.
