Lifelong proud Glen Williams resident Patricia Colleen Burton (born June 4, 1948) passed away July 17, 2024 at the age of 76. Born to local Glen couple Phyllis Marion Bell (nee Blyth) and James (Jimmy) Clifford Bell. Loving wife of almost 51 years to John Charles Burton and loving mother to Jeffery Ross Duncan and his wife Heidi.

Whether you knew her as Patricia, Pat, Trish or Trisha she could talk to anyone and thoroughly enjoyed being with people. This included over the years the “Tim Hortons gang”, the “Card Ladies”, members of St. Albans & St. Paul’s Anglican Churches in Glen Williams and Norval, her “second” parents Buster and Eva Burton and Loyal Orange Order Guelph members. Tending her flowers at home, a lifelong lover of animals and her pets, politics, movies and reading, baseball (Toronto Blue Jays), history, music, “going over Town” and NASCAR were keen interests during most parts of her life. Her experiences and success in the early 1970’s with being one of very few women in the Southern Ontario drag racing scene is a point of pride for John and Jeff!

A life filled with difficult times in her early life countered with many positive times with now an inner peace for her being in the arms of Jesus. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in her name to the Upper Credit Humane Society.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for Patricia mid fall this year to take place in Glen Williams. The details will be posted to the Jones Funeral Home site. If you wish to notified directly please leave a comment.
