Paulo Jorge Gomes, of Milton, Ontario, passed away at Trillium Hospital surrounded by the warmth and care of his loved ones at the somber age of 58.

He was born on January 27, 1966 to Fernando and Maria Solen in Portugal and moved to Canada in his youth. Paulo was a dedicated and beloved husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Monika and children Jordan and Sofia. He was also fondly an uncle and father figure to Leilani, and a doting dad to fur baby, Lucy. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Sergio. Paulo is survived by his sister Annabela and brother-in-law Joe, his brother Victor and sister-in-law Halia, his brother Fernando and sister-in-law Tammy, sister-in-law Magda and brother-in law Sebastian, brother-in law Philip, and mother and father-in law, Barbara and Zbigniew. He is also lovingly remembered as an uncle, nephew, and irreplaceable friend.

He shared his zest for life at Xpo for 23 years and brought a smile to his colleagues faces daily.  To know Paulo was to love him. He is affectionately remembered for exuberant Sherkston trips, being the eager handyman that would rather do it himself and do it better, the reliable Jack-of-all trades and master of all, a cozy shoulder during movie nights, and being the fun in every game. He embodied compassion, charisma, humour, generosity, and left an incomparable mark on everyone he crossed paths with. Paulo was cherished by everyone. His magic will transcend beyond this lifetime and be carried in the hearts and pockets of those closest to him.

Monika, Jordan, and Sofia were his whole life, legacy, and love in human form whom he dedicated himself to. He loved them as much as human heart could ever love. His family was everything to him and his undying spirit will never be forgotten.
