It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Norm Griffin, age 76, on December 27th 2023, due to a motor vehicle accident.
Norm was the loving partner of Kathy Noseworthy for over 40yrs. He was also a caring and proud father of his 2 daughters, Andrea (Brad) and Heather (Darryl). He will also be remembered by his stepsons Stephen (Sonia) and Kevin (Lisa). Norm was a wonderful grandfather to Devin, Marcus, Kasey, Stephan, and Ivan.
Norm will be sadly missed by his brother Larry Griffin (Madeleine) and the rest of his extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his Father Ross, Mother Marjorie and his sister Rhonda (Samuel). Norm was born in Toronto. He worked for many years at Nortel (formally Northern Telecom), where he met his partner, Kathy. Since retirement, Norm devoted much of his time and energy to the local Georgetown Canadian Legion where he made many friends and focused on helping veterans and his fellow legion members. This passion was inspired by his father’s service in WWII Norm will be remembered as a simple man, with a kind heart, who enjoyed socializing and was always willing to help anyone in need. Although he was not a man of many words, he would be the first to jump to the microphone at any family event to give a speech. He will be fondly remembered by many.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Norm’s name to Support Veterans through the Royal Canadian Legion poppy campaign.

Those we love remain with us
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade
Because a loved one’s gone.
Those we love can never be
More than a thought apart,
For as long as there is a memory,
They’ll live on in the heart.
